BASICGREY started out in the scrapbooking industry in 2004 and has been partnering with Moda since 2008. In a 2013 interview with Moda, Basicgrey, stated that their goal is to "bring customers fashion-forward designs, playful charm and that modern aesthetic of today's crafters." They feel that "the best reward has been watching what quilters and sewers create."
